Class Description: This is a literature based class that will take children on a road trip across the United States. Together we’ll travel to each of the 50 states in chronological order of statehood. We will create maps and flags while reading beautiful books to discover people and landmarks that are unique to each state. Every week students will sing a states and capitals song, locate states on a map, and fill out an “All About” form for each state. Let’s explore this wonderful country that God has given us and learn how it came to be!
Teacher Biography: Hello! I am married to David Cartwright and am a homeschooling mom of three (11, 9, and 5). I have a passion for teaching reading and elementary math in a fun, hands-on way for better understanding! I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, minor in music and spent many years tutoring children in reading before starting my own family. I love to hike, do puzzles and play the French horn!
