Length: 1 hour Class

Class Description: In this course we will explore various parts of the marine ecosystem, studying oceanography, currents, hydroplate theory and plate tectonics, various groups of marine animals such as cephalopods and cnidarians, and stewardship of our natural and living resources. This course will be a lab science and labs will consist of several dissections (shark, fish, crayfish, clam, sea star), some microscope work, and research presentations, short videos, etc…

Course work: Each chapter will take about 2-4 hours of work spread out over one or two weeks. The class is significantly less work than Biology, and can be taken before Biology or concurrently with a more difficult class like Chemistry or Anatomy.
