Class Description: This class will be an overview of western music history. It will cover ancient, medieval, renaissance, classical periods and different modern genres, tracing their musical genealogy. We will also look at how world events impacted the music of their time.

Teacher Biography: Jake Beesley has been teaching music for over 10 years. He was homeschooled until age 16 at which time he started classes at Oklahoma Christian. He has a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music and an associate’s in keyboard performance. His goal is to help students enjoy the learning process and showing them how to explore new ideas.
