Class Description: Guided Recess provides kindergarten students with an active and engaging play environment where movement and learning are combined. Through structured games, group activities, and creative play, students practice important early learning skills while developing coordination and social interaction. Students participate in teacher-guided activities that encourage physical movement, teamwork, listening skills, and problem-solving in a fun and supportive atmosphere!
Teacher Biography: Hello! I’m Cassie Hanchett and have been homeschooling for two years. I hold an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in education and have a passion for helping young children grow and learn in a supportive environment. My experience in early childhood education began as a teacher’s assistant, where I served for two years supporting classroom instruction. I later taught a Pre-K class, where I enjoyed having a classroom for young learners to build foundational skills through play, exploration, and structured learning. I have been married for 20 years, and my husband and I have three children, ages 13, 11, and 2. Our family has been a part of First Baptist Church Mustang for the past four years. I am passionate about working with young children and helping them develop academically, socially, and spiritually in a positive and encouraging environment!
