Class Description: Travel back in time to early United States history! Varying between writing from facts and creative assignments, students practice writing from key word outlines, retell narrative stories, use multiple sources for one assignment, learn how to make a Works Cited page, and master the 5-paragraph essay; they also learn to vary sentence structure and other decorations to give their writing flare.
Teacher Biography: I’m in my 15th year of homeschooling and as of May 2026, will have graduated two of my children from high school. I have been through IEW’s Structure and Style method several times through both teaching it in a classroom setting and additionally through helping my own children with their papers. Two of my favorite things are literature and Bible study.
