European Literature

Prerequisite: At least an 8th grade reading level

Textbook: We will use various literary works the students choose in class.

Materials: Current Literary work, notebooks, pencils

Supply Fee: $20 per year

Length: 1 hour Class

Class Description: Our journey through European literature will explore the dark ages of Beowulf, the lighthearted plays of the Romantic period, fairytales of old and modern treasure hunts. These are stories that have captivated generations of readers. This class aims to delve into various types and styles of writing, examining the authors who crafted the tales, and the eras influences that shaped their writings. Equipped with this knowledge, we will engage in vibrant class discussions about the events and themes within these novels and draw comparisons to contemporary society and other literary items the students have read.

Teacher Biography: I am a homeschool mom of three beautiful young ladies and Army Veteran. We have a small family farm and enjoy everything that God has blessed us with. I returned to college after many years to get my Bachelor’s in Aerospace Logistics and Operations Management and continued on to get my Master’s in Aviation and Space. Now, I’m actively working on earning my Doctorate in Education with my emphasis on Aviation. I have worked for the USG and Boeing, but nothing brings me joy like teaching my children in a Godly home and hopefully soon your children at the Co-Op!
