Class Description: Preparing for college isn’t just about meeting GPA requirements or acing standardized tests; it’s about learning how to communicate who you are and what you stand for. Writing for the College-Bound is designed to help students transform their ideas into compelling, polished writing that captures attention and leaves a lasting impression. From brainstorming authentic personal stories to structuring persuasive essays, refining every sentence for clarity and ensuring proper citations, this class walks students through each stage of the writing process with practical guidance, inspiring prompts, and real-world examples.
Teacher Biography: I am a homeschool mom of three beautiful young ladies and Army Veteran. We have a small family farm and enjoy everything that God has blessed us with. I returned to college after many years to get my Bachelor’s in Aerospace Logistics and Operations Management and continued on to get my Master’s in Aviation and Space. Now, I’m actively working on earning my Doctorate in Education with my emphasis on Aviation. I have worked for the USG and Boeing, but nothing brings me joy like teaching my children in a Godly home and hopefully soon your children at the Co-Op!
