Class Description: Epsilon covers operations with fractions. Fractions are presented in an intuitive way with visual explanations of equivalent fractions, common denominators, and fractions and numbers larger than one. Fractions and operations are illustrated using the Fraction Overlay manipulatives.

We’ll learn:
• Fractions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing)
• Common Denominators
• Converting mixed and improper fractions
• Simplifying

Being that we are only together 1 day, there is no time for us to use the test book. However, it often comes with the student book. Feel free to use the test book and I can grade completed tests with my teacher book.

Teacher Biography: I am a second year teacher here at Grounded. In addition to this math course, I also teach the Zeta course which is a level above this one and American History 2 for middle/high school students.

My husband Dean and I have 2 boys, that we homeschool. We love to travel the US and explore historical sites as well as hiking and camping.

I am a graduate of SNU with a BS in Organizational Leadership as well as hold a Masters of Science from Villanova. I worked over 15 years in the private sector training employees and writing training material. I love teaching and look forward to the upcoming school year.
