Class Description: The veterinarian academy covers a variety of animals from horse to cat, dog, llama, monkey, rabbit, goat, etc. We will explore veterinarian techniques and skills such as learning how to diagnose and chart, how to suture a wound, administer a shot, treat a hernia using a Cornish hen to insert a mesh liner, etc.

The students follow along in their own veterinary journal and try to “figure out the problem” with the animals just as the real DVMs (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) had to do; therefore, they get a first-hand look into what it is like to practice veterinary medicine and how such doctors utilize brainstorming skills each day.
